How far away from the action should the camera be?
Thanks in advance for any answers.
I've read that boom poles can be up to 15 foot long for use in scenes and this made me rethink my technique behind the camera. Should the action in the scene be shot from a certain distance (when using a mid-shot, for example) and if so...how far? Thanks. Jak
There is absolutely no set distance for anything in still or motion shots.
it all depends on what effect etc is required, what lens is being used, how much of the scene is required in shot etc etc etc
