Does changing your diet from bad to excellent choices put your body thru a chemical change?
like from junk food to fruits,veggies?
The simple answer is yes. I love metabolism chemistry...but without breaking out my biochemistry book I can't give you the exact answers. Really (from memory) you are just using different enzymes etc.
I DO remember one specific rxn about trans-fats. So good (natural) fats are in the cis-conformation and there is a specific enzyme to convert them to trans...this costs energy and thus this conversion burns energy. But when you eat trans-fats you don't have to use this enzyme and you are not burning as many calories.
So that is really just a random fact...but maybe I can come back later after I look through my biochem book for more specifics.
