What was the outcome of that case where a guy sued the dry cleaner for $60,000?
The dry cleaner supposedly lost the guys trousers but later found them .....
It was not $60 thousand. It was $65 MILLION. Well the following happened.: they never found the pants. The cleaners offered to compensate him for the pants and even offered $11, 000 but that was not enough. The judge wanted the cleaners to pay $15,000/year for 10 years because he had to lease a car to take his clothes to another cleaners and he did not have a car.
1) he lost the case after he broke down in tears on the stand over the pants.
2) He appealed and lost that appeal
3) He lost his job
Serves him right. He as acting as if the trousers were solid gold or antique pants from President George Washington. Talk about a litigious society member running amok.
God knows what kind of judge he was. Thank heavens he is not a court bench anywhere. He might have let the criminals go free and sent the victims to jail.
