Peugeot 406 2.0 HDi Air Cir. Fuse?
I have a 2004 Peugeot 406 2.0 HDi. The cabin air circulation fan has stopped working, the pollen filter was blocked. i have cleaned/removed the pollen filter but the fan will not start. I have checked all fuses, all seem fine but I do not have a manual to know the correct fuse. Can someone let me know where the correct fuse is? I also moved the fuse for the rear windscreen heater, where should this fuse go? any other ideas as to what is should look at regarding the air cic. fan?
get a Haynes manual.....brilliant answer from someone who needs 2 points.
I have the manual! page 45 fuses;
fuse 2.... 5 amps....air temp sensor and ventilator fan switch.
Fuse 2 is in the second row, with fuses 1 thru 12
Fuse for the rear windscreen heater is number 14, 30 amps!, found in the third row of fuses (first and second slots are empty!) and this is called the SUPPLY for REAR WINDOW SERVICE.
I do not have the 406 car, but I have had other Peugeots with fan problems. sometimes it is the fan itself or the dashboard switch that is faulty. Try to give the fan 12 volts from another source directly. Isolate the problem to fuse / fan itself/ switch / bad wire.
Last winter I did this, step by step on a 1998 Ford Escort, and it was just the one wire in the dash that was bad. We added another wire, bypassing the bad one.
