Price Of "Tiffen wide angle cir. pola. 77mm"?
Hi Does anyone know the price of the following filter
Tiffen WIDE ANGLE CIRCULAR POLARIZER 77mm
amazon says £200+ but i think their wrong is too much

You haven't seen the price for a CPL made by Leica...
The Tiffen one seems to be around the right price for the high-end CPLs...http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-tiffen-ht-77mm-circular-polarising-filter/p1027697 that's how much WEX are charging.
Well on full frame at 17mm I've used standard thickness CPLs without problems. You should be able to get one from http://www.7dayshop.com starting at £5 for an own brand one, and £50 for a hoya green series one. WEX have hoya HMC CPLs at £80.
There are so many brands that are trustworthy besides Tiffen. I rate B + W, Cokin, Hoya, Leica, and Nikon equally if not better.
Perhaps read this thread, some filters don't seem to work as well. http://www.flickr.com/groups/_canon_17-40_f4l_usm/discuss/72157622726994159/ must most FF UWA's above 17mm are meant to accomodate one standard size filter.
