Why are there no gaps in a continuous light spectrum?
I searched on google for any answers but it only told me that there were no gaps in a continuous light spectrum, which I already knew, and I can't seem to find WHY this is so. Can someone please tell me?
its like asking why there are no gaps in the number system. simply because we can make up a number to fill it in. if there was only 1235678, then eventually someone would come up with 4, and since the light spectrum is just a whole bunch of frequencies, even if there was a whole in it, you could make a machine to make that frequency, and you would then have no gap. its just that theoretically all frequencies exist.
