Is there a place in the U.S. that charges a decent rate converting a quicktime movie file to 16mm film?
I'm thinking of entering a film in a film festival, but if mine gets picked to be shown, I need it in their specific format which is either 16mm, 35mm, HDCAM, Digital Betacam, or Betacam SP. I edited my film with Final Cut Pro, and I have exported my project as a quicktime file.
First of all. you would never want to convert a quicktime to 16MM - lay it back to Digibeta or Beta SP or HDCAM if it's QuickTime HD. A Quicktime to Digibeta conversion should run you a few hundred plus tape stock.
