I have a digital camera but I don't have the SD card adapter so I'm using the USB cable that came with the camera to connect the camera to my Mac. I'm trying to save some pictures to my mac but when I plug it in, nothing happens on my mac, but on the camera screen it says "USB" and the rest of the screen is white. I just switched from Windows to Mac, so I am really confused. How do I see the pictures on the camera on my computer?
well the first thing is that you must install the software that came with your digital camera. if you don't the computer might not able to install the driver and connect it to your camera. After you install it, use a usb cable and connect it to the computer. The camera should connect to the computer after you install the software on the computer. Then go into your drive on the computer and find the camera drive and open and you should see the photos 
Also if that method above didn't work? In a digital camera there should be a memory that is already ether pre-stalled or install. you can take that out(it contains your photos in there) and find the slot that is on your computer and plug it in.(Ex. MicroSDhc, SD Card) stuff like that. try it
