How can I watch a tv show at the same time my DVR is recording another show?
My dish network DVR will record something I asked it to, but when I want to change the channel from the show I am watching and recording from it tells me that if I do so, it will stop recording; or if I'm watching something I don't want to record, but still want to watch, the timer set for the show I set to record which is on at the same time, will change the channel automatically and it is extremely frustrating. I know this might be a little confusing but please help.
You can record to tv 2 if you have a dual dvr. You can check to see if your dvr will go on the dual setting and then it will work.
If you don't your stuck watching the show unless you can tape it at a time when your sleeping or away.

It all depends on what receiver you have and you didn't mention it.
