Why do I pick up AM radio stations with my headphone extension cable?
I've got a 50' cable running to a boombox, and I'm trying to play sound from my laptop. However, when I switch to the aux input for the cord, it's some AM radio station... is there a convenient way to stop this without buying a different cable? Why does this work anyway? I don't want to have to buy a different cable, but I'd love to have the boombox where it is.
Get a shorter cable and put ferit beads on the ends of it, it's acting like an antenna most likely, or try torid cores you can loop the cable through a few turns should go away unless you are really close, don't bother to call the radio station, not their problem they do not care, they are operating withing the rules
