question about extension tubes?
I have a 60mm macro lens, and the minimum focus disance is about 20 cm. I want to be able to have the photo even more close up so that you can see the details of insects faces etc, but I don't actually want to move the lens any closer to the insect. If I use extension tubes with the macro lens, and don't move the lens closer than 20 cm to the object (the minimum focus distance without the teleconverter) will the object still be much larger in the photo or would it look the same as if I didn't have the extension tubes?
The purpose of an extension tube is to allow you to get closer to the subject, which increases its size in the photo. If you use an extension tube, but stay the same distance as without the extension tube, the photo will look exactly the same.
