SLR camera film and it's reaction to a small amount of light?
I don't know lots about SLRs or film, but I was doing a project for a class and I wanted to make sure my pictures were ACTUALLY taking, so i went in the bathroom, blocked off most light (but barely enough light, just so i could see-ish, and it was not direct light) and opened the back of the camera. Could this possibly have ruined my pictures? 
i made it as dark as possible, to what degree i'd imagine a dark room to be.
Your film should only be exposed to light when you are making exposures in the camera while taking pictures. You very likely have fogged your film.
