What is the best company to convert 8mm film to digital video?
I have many old 8mm film (NOT video) reels that I want to convert to digital video for viewing/editing/archiving. I want to get something resembling archival quality, but without an unlimited budget. I've noticed 2 companies online that seem competent: homemoviedepot.com-- this is cheaper-- and videoconversionexperts.com-- that offers a "hardware frame by frame" process, but is more expensive. Anyone know if this "hardware frame by frame" is actually better? Anyone have experience with either of these companies, or another company I should know about? You're help is greatly appreciated--my family's memories are dependent on this.....
I had Walgreen's do the conversion for me. I was happy with the results.
