What could be causing tightness, stiffness and pain on the back of my knee?
For about the past 6 months, I have had a few flare ups with the back of my knee. It feels like the muscles are tight and burning and it sometimes keeps my leg from straightening completely. The things that make it worse are kneeling, sitting with my legs crossed in front of me, and sitting in a chair for long periods of time. Do you have any idea what this could be caused by? Or what condition this might be called? Thanks!!!

It sounds like you have a Sciatic Nerve problem...It runs down the back of your leg from your buttocks to you heal...I think I would describe it like a rubber band that has been pulled to far apart...
Do you have trouble with your back at all?? This also happens with lower back pain...
Don't do those things that you just described...it only makes the condition worse...
I would really see your Doctor...he is the only one that could assess your condition...
Six months is way to long to have that kind of Pain!!
