SB-800 flash won't power on. why?
My Nikon speedlight sb-800 won't power on. I left the batteries in the flash along with the extra battery power pack (5 batteries instead of 4) and now it wont turn on. the flash is only 1 year old. Is it possible that it is fried? If it is that seems like such poor design. Is there a warranty?
I've tried Brand new Duracell batteries right out of the package...no good
Have you tried changing the batteries? Also what type of batteries are you using? Some re-charables won't work with the sb-800 and I would advise you to never use old batteries with new batteries mixed in. The kind of re-chargable most widely used for external flashes are eneloop* that are made by sanyo.
