98 Mecury Villager with Hornet alarm on it wont try to start?
My alt. belt broke and drained the battery, the alarm never worked for years. Now I have battery charged and new belt, alarm wont allow me to start van with key, have to manually start from under hood. It keeps chirping and flashes lights, sometimes alarm goes off. How can I disable the alarm?
pull all of that stuff off and repair the wiring that it was piggy-backed on the factory harness
owner's manual in pdf form for the 2 newer models: but i have no idea what model number you have

If your remote is lost or damaged, you can manually disarm your
vehicle security system. To disarm the system without a remote,
you must have the vehicle's ignition key and know where the
Valet®
button is located. Be sure to check with your installer at
the time of installation for both the location and the preset
response (1-5 presses) of the Valet®
button.
To disarm the security system,
turn the ignition to the ON position. Press the Valet®
button the
preset number of times (one to
five times) within 15 seconds.
After five seconds, the system will
disarm. If the system does not
disarm, you may have waited too
long; turn the ignition off and on
and try again.
