Canon telephoto zoom lens?
Hi, which of the two would you recommend me to get for my Canon T2i
Canon 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS
Canon 75 mm-300 mm f/4.0-5.6 III USM
I know these are both pretty low quality lenses, but I'm a beginning photographer on a pretty tight budget. I'm also planning on using this lens to take action shots at the beach (surfing, etc). Thanks!
I have the 75-300 and I don't find it low quality at all. No it's not the same as my 28-200 but it's still a very good lens - example...
The bird was 15 - 20 feet above me. I shot at 1/1000 with wide open aperture in full sun. I thought the lens did pretty well.
I would however recommend a more usable lens for daily shooting, like the 28-200. Yes it's about
$400 but it's sharp, fast and accurate. Excellent for general shooting without switching lenses all the time.
