Can i get rid of pick guard on guitar kit fender style stratocaster?
i know how to take all knobs and hardware off, i just dont want that pure white pickguard on the painted background i have, just looking to see if anyone has done this at all or if they know how
Most stratocaster type guitars are front routed, which means that if you take the pickguard off, there's going to be a big hole in the middle of the guitar. The pickups may also be mounted directly to the pickguard, so it's pretty necessary to have it there.
You can paint the pickguard as well, or get/make a clear one.
