Which leica 90mm would you choose?
lens, leica 90mm f/2.8
TELE-ELMARIT-M f/2.8
1984 70th anniversary edition.
there is some cleaning streaks along the edges. a little cheaper than the alternative
90mm TELE-ELMARIT f/2.8
1965
perfectly clean. a little more expensive because it is so clean.
considerations:
- age? coating?
- distortion between the aged lens?
- anything else you think is important.

Those are 2 different designs. The 1965 version is the 'fat' version and the 70th anniversary one is a 'thin' version of the lens: http://cameraquest.com/mlenses.htm
Both perform well and have fans. They cost about the same. A cursory search doesn't indicate that the anniversary edition is more valuable... on the contrary, I'd fully expect this specific lens to be less valuable due to the damaged coating ("cleaning streaks")
So I suppose it's a matter of personal preference - read up on the different versions or try them both.
