What is the best and affordable studio lighting kit for just starting out?
Hi,
I am just starting out and wanting to get alot of practice and train myself on studio photography. I don't want to spend alot of money until I know more of what I am doing. I have seen kits from $139.00 and up. Some of them had fluorescent bulbs. Are fluorescent light bulbs bad? What would be the best brand to buy, plus it would need to be under $200 Please help me with any advice you may have, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

i use portable flash units alot, even in the studio, for $200 you could get 3 portable no name flash units, a trigger and three recievers, try ebay maybe,
the other option is get one studio light and use reflectors,
reflectors and difussers you can make yourself if you like,
google: strobist and diy photography for info and ideas,
