i just got a new 50mm macro lense for a canon 400d ESO and need some adive on types of extension tubes.?
i need extension tubes i can put on my macro lense so i can see right down into things like flowers etc! but apparently i need a certain type for a certain lense! what type would i need to get to suit or fit a 50mm macro lense for a canon 400d??
The Canon version is the Extension Tube EF 25 II but you may find alternatives from other suppliers, just be sure to check that they will work with your camera/lens combination.
The Canon EOS 400d is also known as the Canon Digital Rebel XTi by the way.
A cheaper and easier alternative is to use close up lenses that screw into the lens filter thread, they are more flexible to use and also have the advantage that they don't change exposure times like extension tubes do.
