how to remove a 1970's bathroom sink with a metal ring?
I'm replacing an old chipped sink with a metal Hootie ring mounted in a cabinet, but I can't get the metal ring to dislodge even though I used a putty knife to break the old plumbers putty seal. I removed the sink clips and the plumbing is all undone, but the sink won't budge. Help!
the hootie rim when installed is put in place...then there are small tabs (slots in the metal under the cabinet top) once the ring is down these tabs are pressed into the cabinet with a screw driver there just pointy ...get up under there and pry them out with a flat screw driver
