What coatings do you get when your glasses are "multi-coated"?
multicoated (aka MAR) is an untraclear coat which helps top reflections i.e if your night driing and you get reflections of oncoming car lights etc it helps to fiter them out so its not as blinding, also if your reading a glossy magazine esp under artificial light it helps reduce the reflections you get. The other coating it hardcoat which is a protective coating which can prevent scratching (not stop scratching) just making your lenses live longer basically.
