What size Muslin background should i get to take group photos of 15-30 girls?
I am shooting an event, it will be outside, but the the scenery is not visually pleasing, I need to put up a background... so if you have size suggestions as well as the best type of stand...
and by best I mean most affordable! 
I'd say something like 12x24, but instead of the 12 being the width, make it the height. I'd think for a stand, you'd have to take 2 sets of stands and set them up in a line, then clamp the backdrop onto it across the crossbar. You'll need most of the height, if you're shooting 30 girls, you gotta put them somewhere and you'll probably want a couple of rows. They can't be spread too wide. You'd realistically want to have them in about the middle 15 or 16 feet of the backdrop so you have a little more height to play with. You could probably get away with something 20 feet long, but for a couple extra bucks, maybe try the bigger one. Your cheapest route is a solid color muslin, probably white or black. White is not as easy to shoot on as black. Try ebay. They have a bunch of dyed muslins for 30-50 dollars US.
