bought a lens for my pentax k20d: this is all of the info that had on the lens when i purchased it:?
ROKINON AUTO ZOOM F=80-200MM LENS 1:4.5 PENTAX
got the lens in today and it wont attach to my camera. where can i get an adapter so it will fit?
1) there is nothing wrong with my camera. its brand new and i have the kit lens and it works perfectly.
2) I only have $10 invested in this Rokinon lens..so whether it works or not....i didnt go into debt to get it. Not sure if i can return it, as it is used..but i already emailed the seller to see whats the deal. they assured me that it would work with my pentax but i am lining it up correctly but it just will not attach...figured i'd give them a shot to fix the problem with maybe sending me an adapter of some such. I wanted to contact pentax but they were already closed when i opened the package tonight..will try with them in the a.m.

This is why it is NEVER a good idea to buy a lens or camera without first holding it in your hands and seeing if it actually works and is not broken. This is the beauty of craigslist. You get to look and test the equipment before you hand over your money.
It is usually best to buy Pentax lenses for a Pentax camera.
If you are looking for a deal in a generic lens, Tokina is probably the best generic lenses and just so happen make some of the Pentax lenses.

"Rokinon lenses were from Ricoh. Although Ricoh had a couple of bodies that were actually pretty good, they are generally regarded as being sub-par. They used a hybrid K mount which allowed their bodies to use Pentax lenses. But, as I recall, it didn't necessarily work the other way. In other words, if you have a Rokinon lens with the Ricoh mount, there may be some compatibility issues when used with an actual Pentax body"
