What is a good type of vinyl to use as a photography backdrop?
I was going to buy roll of vinyl to use as a white backdrop for my photography. Muslin cost too much for me right now. I am looking online at some photography stores and I see the prices some sites are charging for are a lot. So I called a few fabric stores myself only to find out that its cheap just to get it from the store.
Herein lies my question:
I found out that there are different types of vinyl within vinyl. So what should I buy? Its going to be a white background.
whats a good size if I want to move past head and shoulders? Is 6ft X 10 a good decent size?
I use a white vinyl background. I just went to home depot and bought a 10x24 piece ($60) and painted it white, and put a piece of white tileboard ($11) on the floor.

and 6x18 (6 wide and covering the entire wall) would work fine for 3/4 shots as such

though 8-10' wide, and 16+ feet long (ceiling to floor, 6' separating the model from the wall, then a few more feet) is necessary for full body.
