Pix Faulty 2
has anyone received a settlement from a manufacturer for soda bottle cut? How much? By trial or settlement?

Should I ask for a settlement for negligence of faulty equipment at a Coca Cola plant? Or get an attorney that's willing to work on contingency? The manager of the Coca Cola plant admitted to faulty equipment causing my cut finger in opening the 12 oz. bottle a few months ago. I have the pix of cut finger and faulty bottle showing its extruded sharp edge that faulty equipment failed to cut off when capped. I still have the bottle and my finger. lol. I have saved all my emails in helping them fix the problem. No word as to whether it has been solved yet. Only that they found the capping machine was malfunctioning and ordered a repair.

I have not heard about lawsuits against Coca Cola. I work in the medical field with workers' compensation claims, and unless you have a permanent disability from the cut, it is unlikely you will receive much settlement. If for example your nerve was cut, or a part of your finger was amputated, and you sustained irreparable damage, you may get up to a few percent of permanent disability. But if this was just a laceration that healed uneventfully, I do not believe you will receive more than a couple hundred $, if that much, and also if anything other than free merchandise. Also for cases of injury for the lawsuit, only your picture is not the best evidence - you would need a medical report after the injury when you went to the ER, and after the injury resolved (and you reached maximal medical improvement) as credible evidence.
