How do I do Descriptive Stats in EXCEL 2007 after I put a FILTER in a column?
I have 76 records. I put a filter for gender, so I got 33 females. Now when I try to do Descriptive Statistics EXCEL still calculates for all 76, instead of 33 females only. I want to filter the females only and then work on it. If it keeps taking all for calculation purposes then what is the point of the filter? Can you help?

sounds like you need to use the subtotal() function
http://www.techonthenet.com/excel/formulas/subtotal.php
just stick the formula at the bottom of your filtered(or unfiltered) table, and you can count, sum, even varp if you want
