Is there a big difference between a 16" and a 24" softbox?

Yes, I know they are for speedlights, and that's what I'm using one for.

I was saying that I have an external flash (a speed light), and the softboxes I saw in AB were all for the strobe lights.
It depends on the purpose of the softbox. For portraiture, the 24" will be the better choice. For small item photos, the 16" would be enough. The larger the box, the wider and softer the light.
