Should I get a misting system booster pump?
So I've got my entire patio covered with the arizona misting pro kit. I'm in AZ so it should work great, but my problem is the water is still to big of droplets and they make it to the ground, soaking the concrete and not cooling enough.
My lines can handle up to 165 PSI, I hear normal hose lines can be up to 70 PSI already. The question is.... Do I buy the pump that is 160 PSI or should I scrap this system and go get a professional system that can handle a 1000 PSI pump?
How much of a difference will the 160 PSI booster pump make compared to my hose line feed right now? How much difference will the 1000 PSI system make??
Anyone with experience with this, please let me know!
Actually the hose line this is connected to is VERY strong. Its the strongest line on my property. I assume its in the 70's-80's PSI.
I have misters in the back yard, patio, garage, dog pen and I run them off my house line @ 78 psi its pretty high for a house but they work great. It might be that you need to reduce the number of misters. You could in theory get the same amount of coverage with every other mister which will bring up you psi.
I have been in yards and business with both systems and to tell you the truth I didn't notice a difference.
Try reducing the misters first if this does not work I'm sure the 160 pump will be fine. You should check your house pressure first though it may just be that the source the kit is attached to is lower than the rest of the house.
