Protect Filter

Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a cover to protect the oil filter in the 2007 Ford Focus?
I don't know of any vehicles that have a cover to protect the oil filter. Usually they put them in as tight of a place as they can to make it difficult for them to be replaced. If it has one, then maybe it is supposed to.
