Can I still claim warranty if my phone is broke only because the case that came with it was faulty?
Ok, so I just bought a HTC TYTN 2 in the last month, the phone worked perfectly and I always insured it was safe and scratch-free.
Now the case it came with was rigid and ensured the phone was safe, but the Velcro run out in less than a month. The phone slipped from the case and fell about half a meter, no cosmetic damage and no cracks in the case or LCD... but, the screen picture is now screwed, dominated by slow flashing horizontal lines!
I still have 11 months manufacturers warranty, would I be able to claim for a repair due to what happened?

probably not. I'd take it to a corporate store. don't tell them how it happened just tell them that the screen started doing it. if they authorize the warranty or give it to you then you're home free. if not, maybe they'll fix it for you
