Reducing Shotgun Mic Fuzz on a camcorder?
I have an Audio Technica ATR-6550 shotgun microphone with a stereo adapter and my camcorder is a Kodak Zi8. The static fuzz I get from the microphone is very annoying and I was wondering if there is a solution to the problem.
Can you name an example on any devices that limit the audio control?
If the audio is really loud, that "muddy" audio is as good as it gets. This is not the mic's fault. This is the "automatic audio gain" control. The resolution is to use a device that can limit/control the audio level manually.
If the audio is not really loud, it is possible that the battery needs to be replaced.
