Sigma Zoom Telephoto 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG Macro Auto-focus Lens for Canon?
I'm looking to buy this lens for my Canon EOS Rebel T1i.But first, I want to know if this lens is compatible with my camera and if the auto-focus is would work.

Only Nikon users have to worry about whether or not the AF works on a particular lens, and then only with certain models of camera. Any Canon EF mount lens will work on your camera, no matter who actually made it.
The lens will be compatible, as long as you buy the proper mount... so make SURE you select the Canon EF mount version, and you are good.
