ISO setting different from ISO slide film speed?
I accidentally left my Canon A-1 on the ISO 6 setting, but was using slide film (ISO 400). Are my photos going to be ruined when I get them back?
You would be lucky to get anything from negative film with that much mis-match. Slide film is more critical to correct exposure, so the film will be extremely overexposed. I would think the lab would not charge but a nominal fee, as there should be no usable images on the film. Did you not notice the extremely long shutter speeds the camera was producing at an ISO of 6?
Of course, this is assuming you were using the camera in a programed exposure mode. The ISO setting means nothing if you were setting the shutter speed and aperture manually based on the readings from an external light meter, (also assuming the external light meter was set to the correct ISO)
