can i mount a LG 42'' on a tv stand mount?
the tv model number is 42LE5400 and the tv stand i wanna mount it on is http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sedona-Ebony-TV-Stand-with-Mount-for-TVs-up-42/15047830 ...will the LG mount on it? or will i have to buy a bracket?
To answer your question requires that we look at both the stand and the television. The LG 42LE5400 has a VESA compliant mounting standard of 200mm X 200 mm.

The TV stand from walmart has a VESA compliant mounting standard of 100mm X up to 600 mm. This means that the stand can accommodate 100mm x 100mm or 100mm x 200 mm.
As you can see the TV and the stand DO NOT have matching mounting standards. However this is not a huge problem. There are manufacturers that make adapter plates. What you would need to do is buy a 200mm x 200mm adapter plate that has holes for 100mm x 100mm or 100mm X 200mm VESA standard and you would be able to mount that tv to the stand.
