Strobe Studio

What would be a great, inexpensive, portable strobe for on-location shoots?
As the title implies, I need some moderately-powered strobes. I don't need anything more than 200 w/s for outdoor portraiture. Despite having various light modifiers and stands for studio purpose, I may need to purchase more. Thus, both kit and strobe-only suggestions are appreciated.

you can also but attachments for the flashes
depends what camera do you have?
if nikon you can use the CLS system (im unsure about canon)i believe the D80 and higher models supports the CLS system which allows you to fire off the flashed without any cords or radio triggers.
the one disadvantage of having flash is that you don't have a modeling light.
