Can anyone recommend any fork mounted front cycle lights available in the UK - the kind that project a beam to see by, not a simple flasher to be seen by. There's plenty of handlebar mounted lights but in my experience that is too high so it is a toss up between pointing it down at the road surface or further ahead, and my handlebars are cluttered enough already. I don't want to spend a fortune either - perhaps £20 maximum, but perhaps a _little_ more something particularly robust. I also prefer LED lighting because of the battery consumption, and standard alkaline batteries.
While the handlebar mounted types can usually be physically fitted on a fork, unless they can be swiveled to point down at the road surface (rather that upwards at right angles to the fork) they are not much good.

With that, you can use almost any light you like.
