Sync Cord

whats wrong?? is it my ipod, comp, itunes or sync cord?
ummm, so a few days ago, i was adding some music, from the utorrent/piratebay thing. and anyway, i was gonna sync my ipod (5th gen, the nano with the cam) but it wouldnt work!! this box popped up with a yellow triangle with an ! point in it when i was trying to sync my ipod with new music, so i read it and it was saying something that my itunes or whatev wasnt recognizing my ipod. so i have this other sync cord, and tried using it instead of the other one just to see if it would work. but it didnt!! so whats up with it!? is it my ipod, my comp (an hp mini), my itunes or sync cord(s)? and yes, i have already gone on the apple support website, and it didnt do anything! 
ps: my ipod is only like a year and 4ish months old

try to reset it (apple.com) and possibly try reinstalling itunes? it also could be that your ipod memory is full
