How to activate the LCD view finder on the Canon EOS REBEL XSI 450D for the basic zone?
I just got it and can only get it to work on the creative settings but not the basic settings... Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe not ... the live view systems on Canon DSLR's is still having its share of problems. Just stay tuned for more updates
All I can say is read your owners manual and follow the instructions to the letter.
Actually unless you have your camera mounted on a telescope or microscope, there really isn't any need to be using the live view mode.
Holding a over 2 pound camera at arms length trying to hold the camera steady to get a shot can cause all kinds of camera movement issues..
