Waterproof lip Colors
CON -- They can dry out your lips.
I have found that some waterproof and long lasting lip colors really dry out lips and are the hardest to get off. They usually wind up a flaky chunky mess. They may contain bees wax, jojoba or even some have vitamin e that makes it glide on but adds a barrier to make it waterproof.
PRO -- There are alternatives.
Simple lip glosses and stains are a great alternative to waterproof lipsticks. The waxiness from a gloss will stay put if you don't rub it and a stain (usually rose water-based) is a natural stain that won't harm your skin. My favorite stain is Sephora or Maybelline Brands. To get rid of the chalky taste that some may leave a nice clear gloss over the color helps
