I just bought a Meike RC-5 Wireless Remote today for my Canon 450D. The timer for the remote is set to 2 seconds. I bought it to take self-potraits and I find it hard to pose in just 2 seconds. Is there any way I can change to a longer timer? Help!
LOL. I want the timer longer so that I can hide the remote and pose too

You have a 2 second and 10 second delay for self-timer shots already built-in to the camera.
Set the camera for ten seconds, that's plenty of time.
Q Why can't you get into your "pose" then fire the shutter using the Wireless Remote? Just asking

Don't forget, you "STILL" need to set the camera to take the signal from the remote, IT doesn't know you're not going to be pressing the shutter.
Check whereabouts the infra-red "receiver" is on the camera body, not familiar with that camera but sometimes it is on the front of the body (Good) sometimes it's on the back (Not much good for self-portraits)
